Author Description

吴念真，全方位的创意人、电影人、广告人、剧场人。本名吴文钦。1952年出生于台北县。1973年开始从事小说创作，曾连续三年获得联合报小说奖。1981年起，陆续写了《恋恋风尘》《老莫的第二个春天》《悲情城市》等75部电影剧本，曾获五次金马奖很好剧本奖、两次亚太影展很好编剧奖。主持TVBS“台湾念真情”节目三年，舞台剧代表作有《人间条件》系列等。

你们还记得我吗？
在仔细读完经过编辑的这些文字的此刻，好像不得不向“到了一个年纪，某些人的生命似乎只剩下回忆”这句话低头，尽管之前始终对其中所隐含的轻视和同情嗤之以鼻，甚至充满抗拒和敌意。
是事实，因为交织成这些文字的几乎全是往事的点点滴滴。
当其中某些片段开始在网路中被转寄流传，有网友留言问说，你在写这些故事的时候到底是什么样的心情时，我用少年时期读过的《麦克阿瑟回忆录》里头的一句话回答了他们：“回忆是奇美的，因为有微笑的抚慰，也有泪水的滋润。”
这也是事实。
多年来杂乱的行程、密集的工作已经是固定的生活形态，不过，好像也没什么可以抱怨的理由；人生选择什么就必须承受什么、得到什么就会失去什么，这道理到了这样的年纪几乎已没有什么疑惑的余地，只是在日复一日一如川剧“变脸”般随着工作或行程不停变换的角色扮演中，“自己”这个角色反而少有上戏的机会，除了午夜场；而在几乎无声也无观众的演出过程里，和“自己”对戏的另一个唯一的角色就叫“回忆”。
戏有时候会演得很长很长，从午夜一直到天际露出微光；因为“自己”在“回忆”的导引下经常意外地与遗忘多时的某个阶段的另一个“自己”再度重逢，于是，就像久别的老友偶然相遇一般，有更多的回忆被唤醒，一如梦境与梦境的连结，没有逻辑，无边无际。
有时候会想，生命里某些当时充满怨怼的曲折，在后来好像都成了一种能量和养分，因为若非这些曲折，好像就不会在人生的岔路上遇见别人可能求之亦不得见的人与事；而这些人、那些事在经过时间的筛滤之后，几乎都只剩下笑与泪与感动和温暖，曾经的怨与恨与屈辱和不满仿佛都已云消雾散。
或许是工作的关系，长久以来似乎习惯拿这些人与事和人分享，不知道有多少次当某些心思细腻的朋友听完这些故事之后，都会跟我说：写下来吧，当你有一天什么都记不得的时候，至少还有人会帮你记得这些人、那些事。
是曾想写过，只是始终在等候着自己所希冀的那个适当时刻——例如：不再杂事如麻、劳累奔波，身心皆已安顿，日子安稳无惊——的来临，没想到这一切后来却都在始料未及的状态下完成。
一年多前，新闻界的好友张瑞昌跑到舞台剧《人间条件》正在演出中的后台来，说他奉调到周刊当总编辑，希望我能在那里开个专栏。“就把你平常随口说出来的那些故事写下来就好，又不用耗费你多少时间！”他说。
许多人都知道我性格里最大的致命伤叫“不好意思拒绝”，尤其是面对朋友的要求；听说他们私下经常宣称：“要念真干嘛一点都不难，噜久了就会有！”
瑞昌不但持续不断地噜，甚至用了最狠的一招：先在周刊上打上预告，甚至连专栏的名称都已帮我设定好，叫“人间吴条件”。
之后不用说，开始被逼上路，每个星期二的夜晚经常成为我“焚膏继晷”的无眠之夜，一旦遇到出差旅行甚至还得预留存稿，或笔电随行。
记得有一次和一群朋友到国外旅游，夜晚时分我在桌前赶稿，他们则在我房间内打牌消遣，在断续吃、碰的牌声中，忽然听见有人故意以好整以暇的语气说：“唉，人家的命就是比我们好，你看，人家出国还在打字赚钱，而我们却在这里打牌输钱！”
讲话的是圆神出版社的负责人，我们惯称他社长的简志忠。
当时，我不但没有回话，在爆起的笑声中甚至还觉得对他亏欠至深，那是因为事实上多年之前他就曾想尽办法要我写下这些故事，一度他还要总经理简志兴和编辑部同仁带着企划书和录音机到办公室来，要我在“任何想讲的时候”把故事录下来，然后找人转换成文字；然而之后我不但不义地把那个企划遗忘在一旁，甚至还不忠地在他方地盘另起炉灶，所以，一年之后以最后一篇题目为“告别”的心情故事结束专栏，并决定在圆神结集出版的理由无它，就是……必然。
对许多许多人心存感激，除了上头提到的瑞昌（其实……我还在怀疑着，我是不是真的感谢他?因为专栏写不到三个月之际他竟然就高升它职，弃我于火线而不顾！）、简志忠、简志兴和圆神的同仁之外，我也要谢谢《时报周刊》的李秋绒小姐在这一年中对我这个散漫的作者的忍耐、激励和宽容。
当然还有雷骧先生，他竟然肯为这些故事动笔，画下那么多幅韵味十足的插图，让我受宠若惊。
至于故事里被我提及的所有人……我只能说：在人生的过程里何其有幸与你们相遇，或辗转知道你们的故事；记得年轻的时候听过一位作家的演讲，当有人问他说有没有做笔记的习惯时，他笑着说：很少，因为我不可能随身带着笔纸，而且我相信，该记得不会忘记，会忘记的应该就是不重要的东西！
的确如此。
记得你们、记得那些事，是因为在不知不觉中这一切都已成了生命的刻痕，甚至是生命的一部分。
只是……你们也还记得我吗?
