Author Description

梦枕貘，日本小说家。1951年生。毕业于东海大学文学系。本名米山峰夫。“貘”是一种吃掉噩梦的奇兽，因为一直想写出梦一般的故事，便取了这个笔名。
1977年出道。《吃上弦月的狮子》获星云奖，《众神的山巅》获柴田炼三郎奖。《大江户钓客传》获泉镜花文学奖、舟桥圣一文学奖、吉川英治文学奖。

Book Abstract

一妖怪祭藤原治信仰面躺在床上，呻吟不止。
他痛苦地扭动着身体，紧咬牙关，牙缝间不时漏出阵阵呻吟，忍受着病痛的煎熬。枕边的灯火红红地映照在扭曲的脸上，使得那面孔越发骇人。高高隆起的肚子连衣缝都撑裂了，就快露出肌肤来。
他的头左右扭动着，双手和双脚也扭动不停。大概是极度痛苦，他不时地张开嘴，急促地呼吸几下，然后再次咬紧牙。
几名随从围着仰面朝天的治信，仿佛都犯了一样的毛病，也都紧咬着牙关，歪着嘴唇。只有一人嘴角微微透出一丝快活的微笑。他并非治信的随从。
这是一个老人。
“哦。”老人坐在枕边，俯身看着治信说，“这次居然长这么大了。”白头发，白胡子，头发像蓬乱的杂草，任其疯长。胡子似乎从没有修剪过，已经垂到胸部了。破烂的水干裹在身上，原本似乎是白色，现在已脏得连是什么颜色都辨不清了。周身散发着一股异臭，唯有一双眼睛炯炯有神。看样子像是乞丐，然而却不是。乞丐绝不会如此大摇大摆，也绝不会看不出一点卑躬屈膝。
这个老人，便是芦屋道满。
“今天碰上了我，你算是有救了。”道满对治信说道，“一般阴阳师和咒言师是无法驱除的。”他把手伸向治信的肚子。
“请恕我失礼了。”说着，他解开治信的衣襟。
膨胀得滚圆的肚腹露出来。肚中似乎潜入了某种生物，皮肤一动一动的。
道满用手抚摩着肚子表面。“好了好了，我现在就给你解除痛苦。”他自信地微笑着，把放在身边的旧包袱拽过来，放在膝盖上解开。
顿时，一股令人作呕的腥臊味扑鼻而来。里面是个用茶色兽皮包裹的东西，道满毫不在乎地将其拿在手里。
“那、那是什么？”随从问。
“生牛皮。”“生牛皮？”“就是活生生地把牛皮剥下来，然后做成的袋子。”道满若无其事地说。
“什、什……”随从们的眼神变得惶恐起来。但道满似乎毫不在意。
“由于内侧还沾着血，我怕会把这位大人给玷污了，不妨事吧？”随从们没有一个作声。
“不妨事吧？”谨慎起见，道满又重复了一次，用锐利的目光扫了随从们一眼。
“不、不妨事。”在道满的威慑下，随从们连连点头。
道满左手拿起生牛皮袋。留神一看，袋口已用长长的绳子扎住。
他用右手拿住绳子的头儿，抬头看了看屋顶。
“哦，不错，那儿正好有道梁。”道满念叨着，站起身来，使劲把右手的绳子向梁上抛去，绳头绕过梁又落了下来。他抓在手里，调节了一下绳长，袋子便被吊在了治信肚子上方一尺多点的位置。袋子差不多能装进两颗人头，甚至还稍稍富余一些，不过现在是瘪的，让人无法看清里面究竟装的是什么东西。
“里面是不是装着东西啊？”一个随从怯生生地问道。
“现在还什么也没装。”道满说道，“接下来就会装的。”他坐了下来，盯着悬在眼前的生牛皮袋。“是时候了……”道满念叨着这些的时候，吧嗒一声，有东西从袋子底部滴到治信的肚子上。
是一滴血。
血落下的瞬间，肚皮眼看着痉挛起来。血像煮沸了一样，在肚子上形成许多泡沫，转眼间被吸了进去，消失了。
“好，好。”道满高兴地叫着，“原来如此，果真如此。”他把手伸进怀里，摸出五根针来，针长六七寸。
道满将针拿在左手。这时，吧嗒一声，又一滴牛血从袋子底部滴落到治信的肚子上。或许是血都汇集到了袋子底部的缘故，吧嗒吧嗒接连滴落。
道满右掌按在治信肚子上，将血涂抹开来。随着手掌的移动，治信的肚子也一起一伏，剧烈颤动。刚一抹开，那血立刻就吸了进去。
治信翻着白眼呻吟。围观者屏住气息，鸦雀无声。
“差不多了。”道满说着，用右手啪啪拍打起治信的肚子来，“请忍一下。”说着，他右手捏住一根针，一下刺入肚脐下两三寸的位置。
“干、干什么？”随从们大叫起来。
“忍一下，忍一下。”道满微笑一下，将剩余四根针衔在口中，然后抽出一根，噗地扎进肚脐上方三寸的地方，接着又在肚脐的左右扎了两根，于是，治信的肚脐被四根针围了起来。
道满用右手捏住剩下那根针，左手手指按在针尖上，口中轻轻地念起咒语来。声音很低。究竟在念诵什么，没有人知道。
治信的肚子颤动起来。但颤动的并不是整个腹部，仅限于被四根针围起来的部分。
