卓雅是中国摄影家协会会员、中国艺术摄影学会常务理事、英国皇家摄影学会会员、台湾中国摄影学会硕学会士。曾获湖南省委、省人民政府授予“优秀专业技术工作者”称号，英国剑桥国际名人中心“国际妇女”称号，湖南省凤凰县委、县人民政府“荣誉市民”称号。举办过“卓雅摄影作品展”，摄影作品曾参加捷克及斯洛伐克国际摄影艺术展、亚太地区摄影艺术作品展、日本摄影教育交流展、上海第三届国际摄影艺术展，获日本尼康国际摄影艺术佳作奖、中国首届青年摄影团体对抗赛银牌奖。出版了《卓雅摄影作品集》、《沈从文和他的湘西》、《沈从文的湘西》、《黄永玉和他的湘西》、《月亮打湿了草帽》、《太阳起床我也起床》、《不老乡情九万年》等九部摄影作品集，是一位用“镜头里的湘西”走向世界的摄影家。

二十多年前，卓雅感动于沈从文的文字，激发了对湘西那片神秘美丽土地的浓厚兴趣，追寻沈从文笔下的湘西，用二十年的美好时光和汗水在湘西拍摄了一万余幅关于湘西风景、风情、风俗、风物的照片，通过镜头与岁月对话，与沈从文先生对话，与湘西的山水人物对话，与自己的心灵对话。在此基础上，卓雅节选沈从文作品文字片段，配上精心挑选的数百张照片，编辑出版了《沈从文和他的湘西》一书。2005年，全英文版《沈从文和他的湘西》在全球十几万出版物中脱颖而出，获得出版界的最高荣誉——“富兰克林”奖。这些照片不是对沈从文文字的浮泛图解，而是对沈从文作品的重要演绎。这些照片弥足珍贵，改革开放后的这二十年，社会变化太快了，日新月异，古老的文化、民俗、景物在一天天飞快地消失，卓雅努力记录下的很多民族文化的遗迹，现在都很难再看到了，也许永远只能到沈从文文字和卓雅的镜头里去寻觅了。

3.万余幅照片+深情文字演绎“经典中国国际出版工程”

本书刚刚获批列入总署首批“经典中国国际出版工程”。“沈从文的湘西世界”（系列书），精选沈从文关于湘西作品《边城》、《长河》、《从文自传》、《湘行游记》、《湘行书简》等十四种，约一百二十余万字；配上从卓雅封存的一万幅原始照片中整理、精心挑选出的千余幅照片，编辑成“沈从文的湘西世界”（系列书），沈从文用他的文字将湘西人性的质朴与自然山水的奇美和谐地糅合在一起，卓雅通过镜头再现了沈从文笔下的这片土地。

4.袁银昌先生操刀完成图书整体设计

Author Description

沈从文（1902－1988），中国著名作家，原名沈岳焕，笔名休芸芸、甲辰、上官碧、璇若等，乳名茂林，字崇文。湖南凤凰县人，祖母刘氏是苗族，其母黄素英是土家族，祖父沈宏富是汉族。因此，沈从文的民族身份可以是此三个民族的任何一个，但沈从文本人却更热爱苗族，他的文学作品中有许多对于苗族风情的描述。

“要安排得对一点，方合道理，一切有个命！”他那么想着，就更显得好事多磨起来了。睁着眼睛时，他做的梦比那个外孙女翠翠便更荒唐更寥阔。

他向各个过渡本地人打听二老父子的生活，关切他们如同自己家中人一样。但也古怪，因此他却怕见到那个船总同二老了。一见他们他就不知说些什么，只是老脾气把两只手搓来搓去，从容处完全失去了。二老父子方面皆明白他的意思，但那个死去的人，却用一个凄凉的印象，镶嵌到父子心中，两人便对于老船夫的意思，俨然全不明白似的，一同把日子打发下去。

明明白白夜来并不作梦，早晨同翠翠说话时，那作祖父的会说：“翠翠，翠翠，我昨晚上做了个好不怕人的梦！”

翠翠问：“什么怕人的梦？”

就装作思索梦境似的。一面细看翠翠小脸长眉毛，一面说出他另一时张着眼腈所擞的好梦。不消说，那些梦原来都并不是当真怎样使人吓怕的。

一切河流皆得归海。话起始说得纵极远，到头来总仍然是归到使翠翠红脸那件事情上去。待到翠翠显得不大高兴，神气上露出受了点小窘时，这老船夫又才像有了一点儿吓怕，忙着解释，用闲话来遮掩自己所说到那问题的原意。

永恒的湘西和沈从文黄永玉八十年代表叔住崇文门期间，有一天他病了，我去看他，坐在他的床边，他握着我的手说：“多谢你邀我们回湘西，你看，这下就回不去了！”我说：“病好了，选一个时候，我们要认真回一次湘西，从洞庭湖或是常德、沅陵找两只木船，按你文章写过的老路子，一个码头一个码头再走一遍，写几十年来新旧的变化，我一路给你写生插图，弄它三两个月。”他眼睛闪着光：“那么哪个弄菜弄饭呢？”我说可以找个厨了大师傅随行。“把曾祺叫在一起，这方面他是个里手，不要再叫别人了。”之后，表叔的病情加重，直到逝世；随之曾祺也去世了。这点想法一直紧缠着我。我告诉过刘一友，也跟卓雅谈过，后来又跟吉首大学的游校长和州长杜崇烟交流更具体的方案和计划，也都是说说而已，“自是人生长恨水长东”矣！想想看，如果表叔的身体得到复元，三人舟行计划能够实现，可真算得上是最后一个别开生面的“沈从文行为艺术”了。真是可惜！卓雅重掀波澜的意义就在这里，我希望有心人顺着这个有趣的命题多为永恒的湘西做点文章。2009年9月9目于万荷堂。
