如果说第一部《被偷走的秘密》只是通过一个密室悬案带出了夏家兄妹和围绕他们身边的人物关系的话。第二部《朱雀堂》其实是这对机警又神秘又古怪的兄妹生活的真正铺展。

首先，全文一开始，哥哥就发现了很多尸体。一部好的侦探小说，一定不能在1/3铺垫完了后才慢吞吞发生个把凶案。那就太墨迹了。所以《朱雀堂》的开篇，实则要比第一部带劲很多。无论从人物设定上还是故事情节发展上。节奏都比较紧凑，感情线处理得当。而且还留有了黑帮女老大的副线可以发展。而夏英奇的新女友明显也会和哥哥夏漠有更多发展空间，让人期待。

再读下去，居然每个死去的女人看似还毫无关联，案件也毫无头绪。共同点是死者口中塞了一团头发。是不是很劲爆？是不是会想起《沉默的羔羊》？

凶手呢，是个最终万万没想到的人，而夏家兄妹也并非事事如意，这对小人物在动荡的民国社会中，如同浮萍，想抓紧些什么，却又无依无靠。让人默默捏了一把汗。

民国秘事系列的第二部，开始有了十几个人物的沉淀积累，各色人物缤纷登场，通过对各种事件的反应，则更加鲜活丰满。（例如，文中新出现的人物警长，就能够毫无愧色的逛窑子查案，完全无视搭档唐震云的表情）

总体而言，有特色的上海民国时期的风情描写，人情冷暖之间的微妙对白，夏氏兄妹和唐震云的进一步情感纠葛，都是很大看点。

期待民国秘事系列下一部故事的发展。

楔子

“乔家栅的芝麻汤圆、邵万生的鸭胗肝、醉钳子，五芳斋的五香田螺……”梁建念着手里的字条，禁不住停下来，抬眼看着眼前的这个男人。

“我说了，今天是我爹的祭日，我妹妹让我去买这些东西，现在已经是……”他看了一眼桌上的小座钟，“中午11点了，可我什么都还没买，我该走了。”他站了起来。

“等等等等。”他忙叫住了这个男人，“我想再核实一遍你说的话。”

男人露出厌烦的神情。

“我之前都已经跟其他警察都说过了。还要我说几遍？我只不过是在路边的一堆垃圾里发现了一只人手——如此而已。”

如此而已。梁建想，很少有人会在发现一具尸体后还会如此若无其事。而他在巡捕房干了十来年，也确实是第一次碰到这样的情况：有人用报纸包着一块残肢，拿在手里，就像拿着一包火腿那样，气定神闲地走了二十多分钟来报案。一般人通常会尖叫着跑开，根本连碰都不会去碰那东西，但是他……

梁建禁不住再次打量眼前的男人。这个人三十岁上下的模样，中等个子，身材有点羸弱，穿着件旧西装，五官长得不算太出众，但也算清秀，总之是书生模样，看起来也不像是穷凶极恶之徒。

“你说你叫夏漠？”

“啊。”男人点头。

“跟我说说，你是在什么地方发现这东西的。”

“还要我说几遍？”夏漠叹气，“我说完能让我走了吗？我现在有点后悔把它拿过来了。我只是怕吓着别人而已……如果让我妹妹知道我干了这个，她肯定会说我。”

梁建朝他微微一笑，等着他说下去。

夏漠再次无奈地叹气。

“好吧。——早上9点，我离开家，先步行去四马路平望街的邵万生买鸭胗肝，走到平望街街口的地方，那里有一堆垃圾，它就在那里面，像要跟人握手那样朝上伸着。”夏漠作了个“向上伸”的手势，以说明那东西当时的状态，“我出门的时候，买过一份报纸，我就用它包着，把它带过来了。我还跟路上的人打听过巡捕房的地址，因为我对附近不太熟悉——事情就是这样。再简单不过了。”

“我听说，你来报案的时候说过，这是一只女人的手。”

“对。一看就知道是女人的手。骨骼略纤巧，而且我闻了闻，有股桂花香粉的味道。”

“你闻了闻？”

“对。”

梁建想象了一下当时的场景，禁不住有点恶心。

“你还说，它是死后被砍下来的。”他低头看了一眼下属提供的报案记录。

“是啊，从腐败程度看，她死了大概两到三天。”

“这你怎么会知道？”

“我学过法医。还有什么事吗？”夏漠站了起来。

他学过法医。怪不得他对尸体根本毫无感觉。

“你们没理由扣留我。”夏漠又道，“我不可能是凶手，如果我是凶手，我不会拿着它来报案。”他说完，又低头看了一眼桌上的座钟。

梁建48岁了，对他们这一代人来说，法医完全是个新玩意儿。过去，他根本无法想象，可以用把人体大卸八块的方式来寻找真相，虽然他也觉得，如今已经到了民国21年，仍用《洗冤录》的那套，确实是有点过时了，但他还是用了整整5年才开始适应这种近乎亵渎的验尸方式。他永远记得，当刘法医第一次把人体的肝脏从尸体里取出来给他看时，他差点昏过去，后来整整三天，他都吃不下饭。

原来他学过法医。

“你在什么地方学的法医？”他知道司法部尚未开设正式的法医资格培训，禁不住对此人的经历好奇起来，“你现在在哪里供职？”

夏漠又露出一脸厌烦，“我爹过去给我请过一个西班牙老师，让我学西医，其实，他是个法医，后来我去英国留学三年，我爹以为我学的是西医，实际上也是法医。我在那里也验过尸。至于工作，我是个大闲人，靠我妹妹养活。”他指指那张购买清单，“我妹妹让我干什么，我就干什么。”

梁建把清单还给了他。

“你今年几岁？”

“29，虚岁30。”

梁建想起来刘法医。刘法医今年已经50岁了，是个高度近视眼，最近几年的视力更是每况愈下，如果没有眼镜，简直就跟瞎子没什么两样。就连刘法医自己也觉得这份工作对他来说，越来越是个负担。找个年轻人来替我，我就能退休了，再也不用闻这里的臭味了。刘法医曾经不止一次这么跟他说过。

“我能走了吗？”夏漠又问。

“可以，不过我得派人送你回去，你是报案人，我们要知道你的确切身份，还有，你最好能提供你的学历证明，不然，我们无法排除你的嫌疑。”

夏漠朝他耸耸肩，“随便。”

两个警员把夏漠带走了。

梁建目送着他离开，他说不清他对这个人是什么感觉。他又想起，夏漠在弄堂口的垃圾堆里，蹲下身子把那只人手拿起来，放在鼻子底下嗅的情景，什么样的人会做这样的事？刘法医来干这行好多年了，但他对尸体，仍然会有正常的情绪反应，比如厌恶、恶心、害怕、厌烦等等，但这个夏漠好像没有相同的情绪。他似乎太轻描淡写了。但是，会不会这样的人，才是干这行最适合的人呢？
