Book Abstract

大姑姑嫁到了大姑屯。
这已是30多年前的事情啦。
某一天，当我无意间想起了这件事，同时也就想起了青春时代的大姑姑，想起了她美丽的样貌，想起了她后来的遭遇，当然也想起了那次叫我终生难忘的“送亲”活动。
说到送亲，这本来是一种习俗。在我老家那一带，男人女人结婚时，倘若新郎和新娘不在同一个屯子住，便要由娘家负责，将新娘子给新郎倌儿送过去，这就叫送亲。——这个习俗如今还有。
在当年，送亲基本都用马车。就是那种四匹马拉着的胶轮大车。一般来说，一辆马车就够了。可要是娘家的客人比较多，七大姑八大姨，外加叔伯娘舅、兄弟姐妹、侄男甥女，多到十几位甚至几十位，要用两辆或三辆车，那也是有的。
每辆车上，都要铺一床花棉被。
还有一点要说明一下：如果两地距离不是很远，比如就是两个相邻的屯子，婚礼当天把人送过去就行了，但若两地距离较远，则在婚礼的前一天就得送到，总之不能误了拜堂的时间。我们那儿有个规矩，凡新婚夫妇，拜堂一律都在上午，只有改嫁或再娶的，才会在下午拜堂。
当时，我还没去过大姑屯，不知道那里有多远，但听大人们说，似乎是很远的。我还听说，大姑屯跟我们不是同一个公社，而在另一个公社。
不过，此前我倒是见过大姑父了。
大姑父姓杨，大名叫杨德亮，个头儿很高，颧骨也很高。我第一次见他，是他到我们这儿来相亲。我现在还记得，那天他穿了一身蓝卡其布的衣裳，很新，也许是第一次穿；脚穿一双黄胶鞋——显得脚很大；头发也刚刚剪过，鬓角和后脑勺都剪得很短，连头皮都看得见了，脑瓜顶上留了一条头缝儿，头发大部分被梳向了右边，一小部分被梳向了左边。
大姑姑跟大姑父的亲事，是曹金贵的老婆给介绍的。曹金贵的老婆以前就是大姑屯的人，好像还是大姑父的姐，多年前嫁给了曹金贵，才成了我们屯子的人。
相亲是在一天傍晚。那天吃完晚饭没多久，就见曹金贵和他老婆，还有大姑父，来到了大姑姑家里。说起相亲，其实就是见个面。我记得，那天大姑父坐在北炕的炕沿上，自始至终红着脸，也没说几句话，只在别人问他什么的时候，才简短地回答一两个字，“是”或者“不是”，“有”或者“没有”。大姑姑的表现比大姑父更糟糕。她那天坐在南炕的炕里，背倚着窗台，整个相亲的过程，连一句话都没说。本来她是正对着大姑父的，可她连头都不敢抬，就那样低着，直到大姑父他们离开了，才把头抬起来，还长长地出了一口气。
在我们那儿，当年的婚事大概都是这样一个程序。首先是相亲。相亲之后，觉得可以了，便要过彩礼。彩礼分为头茬礼、二茬礼、三茬礼。彩礼一过，亲事基本就定下来了。当然也有例外的，由于种种原因，会有退婚的，但总的来说，这种情况很少。
相亲已经过去了两、三年——这期间，过了头茬礼，过了二茬礼，过了三茬礼，就等着成亲了。
那阵子，我见大姑姑特别的忙。因为她是生产队的社员，每天都要到生产队干活儿。春种，夏锄，秋收，入冬则要打场，就是给庄稼脱粒。这一切都搞完了，还要挖沙子改良盐碱地。反正没有闲着的时候。等到下了工，吃完下晚儿饭，她又要忙自个儿的嫁妆。被窝，褥子，枕套，还有各种小玩意儿。以及新衣裳。衣裳还要分单衣和棉衣，棉袄了，棉裤了。而且不光是她自己的，还包括大姑父的。特别是棉衣，一定要里外三新（新衣面、新衣里、新棉花）。
当时大姑姑用彩礼钱买了一台“蜜蜂”牌的缝纫机，一有空儿，她就会坐下来踩一会儿。踩的时候嗡嗡嗡、嗡嗡嗡，真像一只蜜蜂在那儿叫。不过，做被窝和棉衣的时候，又是另外一种情景了。做被窝做棉衣，就要在炕上做了。那要把裁剪好的东西在光溜溜的炕席上铺展开，接着将买来的棉花一片一片地“絮”上去，要“絮”得不薄不厚，十分的均匀（这样穿起来才舒服）。再用线一行一行地绗起来——针脚不必太细密，可太宽松了也不行，那样棉花会“滚包”——最合适的行距是一寸左右（不超过一寸）。
在做这些的时候，人要坐在炕上，不仅弯腰还要低头。
房顶悬挂着一盏15瓦的电灯泡。
那段时间，不知道多少次，我眼见大姑姑坐在炕上，一心一意地做棉衣，做被窝。那个15瓦的电灯泡就吊在她的头顶上，光线“黄不棱登”的，一点儿也不明亮。这“黄不棱登”的光线就像一条纱巾，覆盖着她的头，她的背，她的后脖颈儿，还有她不停活动的两只手。她全神贯注，一声不吭，眼睛紧紧盯着手里的伙计，只从鼻孔发出均匀的喘气声。偶尔，她也会停下来，扭动几下僵硬了的脖颈儿，再揉一揉酸胀的双眼，有时候会到外屋地（厨房）舀一碗凉水喝，一回来马上又接着做活儿……
每次看见大姑姑在那儿忙，我心里都会想：当个女人可真辛苦啊！有时候我也会揣测：这会儿，大姑姑心里会想啥呢？她会不会很幸福？会不会很期待？会不会很着急？
那几年，大姑父每年都要到大姑姑家里来一次。具体时间我说不太准，大体是在每年的正月，在初五之后，十五之前。每次都要带一些礼品：酒，罐头，饼干，糖块儿，而且都是双份。在我们那儿，这叫“四合礼”，算是最贵重的礼品了。糖块儿和饼干还要用黄色的包装纸包扎起来，包得四棱四角的，再用长长的纸绳扎好（一般都扎成十字形）。——酒也不是什么名酒，就是我们县里出产的老白干。
大姑父每次来，都是先去曹金贵家，先在那儿住一晚上，第二天才由曹金贵或他老婆陪着，来到大姑姑家。大姑姑家则会招待他们吃一顿饭。这顿饭，大姑姑会亲自下厨。所做的菜自然也都是家里能做的最好的菜。鸡了，鸭了，鱼了。这都是早早就预备好了的，就放在小仓房里冷冻着，要专等大姑父过来才做。一到了这一天，大姑姑家里会处处弥漫着肉香，连墙角旮旯都是，站在院子里都闻得到。
为了这顿饭，大姑姑得忙上一小天儿。首先，她要把那些东西拿到屋子里化上。化得差不多了，便要用水细细地洗，洗不净的地方，还要用刀子刮。这时候，大姑姑的手会变得很红，尤其是手背，仿佛特别的滑溜，特别的嫩，就像那儿换了一层皮。洗好之后才依次下锅。照我们那儿的习惯，基本上都是炖：小鸡炖蘑菇，猪肉炖粉条，鲤鱼炖豆腐。炖菜是很费工夫的。炖一个菜，起码也要半个小时。等到所有的菜都炖好了（先炖好的菜，盛出来放到锅台后面热着），再一样一样地端上桌子。
我们那儿还有个习惯，也是一个规矩吧：家里来了客（读qie），女人是不能上桌的。
另外，我注意到，在那个过程中，大姑姑和大姑父，他们是从不说话的。他们甚至从未正眼相看（对视）过。他们如果相看，也是非常迅速的，就那么轻轻一“碰”，马上就躲开了。也就是说，他们都是很害羞的。
那么，他们是不是真的从来就没说过话呢？
这我就不知道了——因为我没见到过。
