Author Description

林清玄，台湾高雄人，散文大师，被誉为“当代散文八大家之一”，曾任台湾《中国时报》海外版记者、主编等职。二十岁出版散文集《莲花开落》，正式走上散文创作的道路；三十岁前揽尽台湾各项文学大奖；三十二岁与佛法结缘，入山修行三载，出山后写成“身心安顿”系列；四十岁出版“菩提”系列，被推为当代具影响力的图书；五十二岁完成《林泉》、《清欢》和《玄想》，被选为台湾中学生优秀读物。他从文学到佛学，悲智双运，情境兼容，不断创造推新，自成一家之言。

《心的丝路》：
活出美感今天我和一位朋友约在茶艺馆喝茶，那家茶艺馆是复古形式的，布置得美轮美奂，里面有些特别引起我注意的东西，在偌大的墙上挂着老式农村的牛车轮，由于岁月的侵蚀，那由整块木板劈成的车轮中间裂了两道深浅不一的裂缝，裂缝在那纯白的墙上显得格外有一种沧桑之美。
亮亮，从前我没有告诉过你，我的祖父林旺在我们故乡曾经经营过一座牛车场，他曾拥有过三十几部牛车，时常租给人载运货物，就有一点像现在的货运公司一样。我那从未见过面的祖父就是赶牛车白手起家的，后来买几块薄田才转业成衣夫。据我父亲说，祖父的三十几部牛车就是这种还没有轮轴的车轮，所以看到这车轮就使我想起祖父和他的时代，我只见过他的画像，他非常精瘦，就如同今日我们在台湾乡下所见的老者一样，他脸上风霜的线条仿佛是现在我眼前牛车的裂痕，有一种沧桑的刚毅之美。
这一点土卖二十元吗？茶艺馆的桌椅是早年台湾农村的民艺品，古色古香，有如老家厅堂里的桌椅，还有橱柜也是，真不知道他们如何找到这么多早期民间的东西，这些从前我们生活的必需品，现在都成为珍奇的艺术品了，听说价钱还满昂贵的。
在另一面的墙角，摆着锄头、扁担、斗笠、蓑衣、畚箕、箩筐等等一些日常下田的用品，都已经是旧了，它们聚集在一起，以精白灿亮的聚光灯投射，在明暗的实物与影子中，确实有非常非常之美——就好像照在我们老家的墙角，因为在瓦屋泥土地上摆的也正是这些东西。
我忽然想起父亲在田间的背影，父亲年轻时和祖父一起经营牛车场，后来祖父落地生根，父亲也成为地道的农夫了，他在农田土地上艰苦种作，与风雨水土挣扎搏斗，才养育我们成人。父亲生前每一两个月就戴坏一顶斗笠，他的一生恐怕戴坏数百顶斗笠了，当然那顶茶艺馆的斗笠比父亲从前戴用的要精致得多，而且也不像父亲的斗笠曝过烈日、染过汗水。
坐在茶艺馆等待朋友，想起这些，突然有一点茫然了，我的祖父一定没有想到他当时跑在粗糙田路的牛车轮会神明似的被供奉着，父亲当然也不会知道他的生活用具会被当艺术品展示，因为他们的时代过去了，他们在这土地上奉献了一生的精力，离开了世间。他们生前没有受过什么教育，不知道欣赏艺术，也没有机会参与文化的一切，在他们的时代里只追求温饱、没有灾害、平安地过日子。
亮亮，记得我对你说过，我父亲到台北花市，看到一袋泥土卖二十元的情况吗？他掂掂泥土的重量，嘴巴张得很大：“这一点土卖二十元吗？”在那个时候，晚年的父亲才感觉到他们的时代已经过去了。
是的，我看到那车轮、斗笠被神圣供奉时，也感叹不但祖父和父亲的时代过去了，我们的时代也在转变中，想想看，我在乡下也戴过十几年斗笠，今后可能再也不会戴了。
