在误拍三级片《红楼春上春》时，已有人评价张国荣跟贾宝玉是极为相似的，天生尤物，风华绝代，命运都是一样的大起大落。贾宝玉的一生是离不开女人的，胭脂浓香如影随形，这一点跟张国荣大相径庭。

自幼开始，家里的三个年长的女性就铺陈出了三段命运，摇曳于尘世，各自孤独。

张国荣的母亲潘玉瑶很早就跟张活海结婚了，帮忙打理一些日常的琐事，然后就生了“一窝孩子”。张家有两房人，另一房并无所出。

潘玉瑶的心里是极不平衡的，年轻的时候曾经向张活海索要家用，却遭到一口回绝。另一房姨太太也不是好惹的主儿，两女共侍一夫，争风吃醋是肯定的。因为怄气，继母甚至拿尿淋过张国荣。

张活海在感情上并不是个安分的人，用张国荣的话说，就是“颇中意女人”，拈花惹草，招蜂引蝶。他经常到尖沙咀的半岛酒店租房，约一些美丽的女士聊天。潘玉瑶为此郁郁寡欢，甚至找来私家侦探调查张活海。夫妻感情的不断恶化，兴许令她觉得嫁错了人。加之工作忙碌，嗷嗷待哺的子女反而显得累赘，更别论什么母爱了。

有一张旧照，是张国荣五岁时和母亲一起拍的——张国荣坐在汽车上，傻笑着目视前方。潘玉瑶在一边站着，双手交叠，一只胳膊倚在车上，盯着镜头。微卷的头发垂在后颈，大花旗袍裹着丰腴的身材。母子之间并没有任何亲密的动作和眼神的交流，更像是一对陌生人。

在张国荣看来，母亲也是自私的，程度远胜于父亲。张国荣长大之后，母子两个在宝丰大厦一起住，那个时候就已经觉得合不来，更像是一对普通朋友，保持有礼有节的关系。出于孝道，张国荣在经济上一直支援母亲。

张国荣三十二岁那年，母亲已经年迈。他把母亲接到自己住的来帕路斯海滨的公寓。在传统家庭中，老母亲和儿子的相处，就算不亲昵成怎样，至少也是温和放松的，偶尔拌拌嘴也再平常不过。但潘玉瑶还会小心翼翼地问：“能不能借用一下洗手间啊？”

也许两个人都试图付出努力，但错过了最好的时机。到了这样的年纪，已经不想再费力挽回什么。即便跟母亲相处的时日远比跟父亲的多出许多，张国荣却说，母亲对他的爱是有条件的，不同于父亲。如果今时今日他不是有所成就的张国荣，这段母子关系怕是会变成另外的样子了。

淡漠的亲情，给张国荣的心理投下了一层阴影，致使他对婚姻关系极其不信任。“如果相爱，没有这一纸婚姻证明书，一样可以过得很好；如果要分手，有这一纸婚约也改变不了什么。”

他最喜欢的舅舅结婚了，张国荣看着舅母嫁过来，在宴席上号啕大哭，拼命地用手去抓舅母，肝肠寸断的样子让长辈们不知所措。

亲情的缺失究竟能造就什么？它至少会是一根刺，永远扎在心里。所谓原谅，遥遥无期。

当满世界都在歌颂母爱的时候，总会有一些形单影只的孩子，拥抱着无助的童年。

在那栋老房子里，还有一个女人。她跟张家并无亲缘关系，在张国荣看来却是家里的一份子。她是用人，叫六姐。

二○一一年，许鞍华执导，叶德娴、刘德华主演的《桃姐》上映。影片讲述了一对胜过母子关系的主仆情。桃姐是Roger的用人，把他从小拉扯大。成年后的Roger待桃姐如生母，一直照顾她养老，直到最后天人永隔。影片引起轰动之时，张国荣已经离去八年，如果他能坐在电影院里看到这部片子，一定会泪流满面。他的性格是感性而宽厚的，何况这故事本就是他自身的写照。

慈爱温厚的双臂揽他入怀，陪他一起玩耍，看着他在游泳池里嬉戏……如果没有六姐，张国荣的童年几乎会彻底暗淡。她在张国荣的生命里出现了三十四年，看他成长、扬名。当初，张国荣想走演艺道路，由子承父业的“中环十二少”转战歌坛，遭到了家里的强烈反对。在这个关头，是六姐偷偷地给他经济上的支持，鼓励他走自己想走的路。

“六姐的地位恍如歌曲《Monica》（张国荣成名曲）中的主角，她对我嘘寒问暖，把我从小带大，是健康又愉快的工人。这位工人在我心目中已经不是工人，地位已超越我母亲，我非常珍惜六姐，我觉得亲密情人失去后可以再找，但如果她突然消失，我指的是百年归老，我会非常伤心，她是我一生之中对我最好的一个女人。”

对生命的美好领悟，缘于记事之初给你温热的人。

跟大多数孩子一样，童年记忆里至少会有一个白发苍苍的老人。你曾以为她出生时便是那个样子，以佝偻的形态存在。你不理解她在絮叨些什么，也不知道她为什么行走不灵光，她就是那么尴尬地活着。

张国荣的外婆六十岁就瘫了，平时有用人服侍，伺候她梳洗、饮食。虽然从小就跟外婆一起住，但他们只是“最熟悉的陌生人”罢了。

外婆是个孤独的老人，很少说话，坐在紫藤椅上，看着孙辈们吵吵闹闹，很少有机会看女儿女婿一眼，只知道他们很忙。

外婆的去世，让张国荣终生难忘。

小学一年级，张国荣放学回家，来接他的照旧是六姐。

“十仔，一会儿回家别害怕啊，外婆睡着了。”六姐说。

张国荣一头雾水，仰着脸问六姐说：“什么叫睡着了？”

六姐愣了一下，语塞了，拉着张国荣的小手继续走。

回到家里的时候，表哥表姐们全都来了，亲戚们汇聚一堂，痛哭流涕。

表哥走过来，说：“十仔，再来看一眼外婆。”

外婆是坐在藤椅上死去的，嘴巴微微张开，脑袋栽歪到一侧，皮肤已经呈黑紫色。哭声在周围此起彼伏，张国荣盯着外婆的脸，直到有人来七手八脚地收尸，大人们也顾不得哭，跟着一起忙活起来，赶去殡仪馆。

这是张国荣第一次感受到神秘的死亡。

众人的泪水是看得见的，素黑的衣装是看得见的，安详的遗体是看得见的，唯有生老病死的深厚意义，需要漫长的时间去体味。

屋子里少了一个人，这是最直观的感知。摆弄一下藤椅，薄薄的灰，坐在上面的老人不见了。
