Book Abstract

在此，我用“似乎”区分两种交易者之间的重大差异。如果交易者学会怎么长期获利，或是突破我所说的“长期获利门坎”，这些钱不但唾手可得，甚至好像可以让他们随意取用一样。我敢说，有人会觉得这种说法令人震惊或难以相信，但是事实如此。其中或许有一些限制，但是在大部分的情况下，钱会极为轻松自在且毫不费力地流进这些交易者手中，以至于大部分人都会觉得大惑不解。然而，如果交易者没有晋升到这种精英团体中，“似乎”的意义就是似乎。他们渴望的长期获利或最后成就好像“唾手可得”，或是“随手可以抓住”一样，实际上却一再从他们眼前溜走或消失。交易只会让这种交易者感受到情感上的痛苦，不错，他们的确也有欢欣鼓舞的时刻。但是说他们大多都处在恐惧、愤怒、挫折、焦虑、失望、背叛和后悔状态中，一点也不为过。这么说来，这两种交易者有什么不同？是智力不同吗？长期赢家就是比大家都聪明吗？比大家勤奋吗？比较善于分析吗？还是能够采用比较好的交易系统？他们是否拥有天生的人格特质，比较容易应付交易的强大压力？这些可能性听来全都相当有理，但是交易圈中大部分失败者也是社会上最聪明和最有成就的人，他们的成员绝大部分是医生、律师、工程师、科学家、首席执行官、富有的退休人士和企业家；此外，交易圈中最高明的市场分析师大多也是最糟糕的交易者。智力和高明的市场分析的确对成功可能有帮助，但这却不是造成长期赢家与众不同的决定性因素。既然不是智慧、也不是比较高明的分析，那么原因到底是什么？我与交易圈中最高明和最差劲的交易者合作过，也曾经帮助最差劲的交易者变成最高明的交易者。我可以毫无疑问地说，最高明的交易者能够持续一贯地胜过其他人，当然有特别的原因。如果要我把所有的原因简化为一个，我会说最高明的交易者的思想跟大家不同。我知道这样听起来很玄，但是如果你考虑到思想不同的意义是什么，就会知道这一点的确具有深远的影响。所有的人在某种程度上，思想都与别人不同。我们可能并非总是在意这种事实，会自然而然地假设别人的观念和我们一样，对事情的解读也与我们相同。事实上，这种假设似乎一直都很正确。一直要到我们发现自己和别人在共同体验过的事情上存在根本分歧时，才知道这种假设并不正确。除了我们的身体特质之外，我们的思考方式也是让我们独一无二和与众不同的原因，与众不同的程度很可能超过我们身体特质的差异。我们回头谈交易者，最好的交易者和还在理清思路的交易者之间，思考方式有什么不同呢？市场可以说是提供无数机会的天地，同时却也常用一些最不利心理的状况考验每一个人。有时候，每位交易者都会学到看出机会存在的市场信息，但是学会怎么看出交易机会并不表示学会了像交易者一样思考。长期赢家和他人有一个不同的决定性特质，就是他们建立了一种独一无二的心态，能够维持纪律与专注，最重要的是能够在逆境中保持信心。因此，赢家不再像其他人一样，受到常见的恐惧和交易错误影响。每位交易者最后都会学到一些与市场有关的事情，却很少有人学会成为长期赢家绝对必要的态度。就像人们可以学习改善挥杆或挥网球拍的技巧一样，是否能够持续一贯毫无疑问取决于他们的态度。P8-9
