Author Description

弗洛伊德（Sigmund Freud）（1856—1939），奥籍犹太人，生于捷克，后随父母迁居至奥地利，于维也纳学医和行医，其后为逃避纳粹的统治而迁居英国。弗洛伊德是精神分析学派的创始人、现代心理学的奠基者，在人格理论、潜意识、梦的解析、性的本能、生/死本能、人格论、焦虑与自我防卫等方面，都有重大的贡献。他的观点对精神病医学领域影响深远，而且在社会心理学、社会学、教育学、政治学、美学以及文学艺术创作等方面受到广泛应用，他被誉为20世纪西方最伟大的思想家之一。弗洛伊德一生著作甚丰，多收录于德文的《弗洛伊德全集》，之后翻译为多种语言版本。

林怡青，成大医学院学士后医学系毕业，精神科专科医师，英国伦敦大学（University College London）精神分析发展心理学硕士，于英国伦敦安娜·弗洛伊德中心（Anna Freud Centre）研修，曾为台北市立忠孝医院精神科主治医师，目前从事精神分析式心理治疗，为台湾精神分析学会会员。

许欣伟，台北医学院医学系毕业，精神科专科医师，曾于英国伦敦塔维斯托克诊疗中心（Tavistock Clinic）研修，现为台北市立联合医院松德院区（原台北市立疗养院）精神科主治医师、台湾精神分析学会会员。

【译序】像容器一般的精神分析实景
医学院时代的某个夏夜，一位学长曾兴致勃勃地与我共勉道：“我们未来应有计划地精读一些原典。”他所指的原典一为马克思著作，二为弗洛伊德作品。当时我们都被一种对智识渴求的热切欲望所围绕。日后和马克思渐行渐远，却因为在北市疗走入精神医学和心理治疗的领域，和弗洛伊德的精神分析靠近了。这份译稿的完成，也算是对年轻时那股渴求智识欲望的一个迟来回应吧。
整个翻译过程漫长而曲折。事情肇始于2001 年10 月，蔡荣裕医师成立“弗洛伊德案例研讨小组”，我们两人当时即负责“鼠人”案例。隔年适逢王浩威医师及王桂花小姐倡议由心灵工坊文化公司出版“弗洛伊德经典个案集”，而就我记忆所及，市面上并无任何“鼠人”中译本，于是我们心想，虽辛苦但值得一试。不久我们忙于出国进修相关事宜，并于2003 年8 月中旬负笈英国伦敦，直至2005 年9 月中旬返国。这段时间虽然翻译之事仍萦绕脑际，但总是缺乏充分的时间来仔细整理译稿。我们只能利用相当零碎的时间，以非常缓慢的速度断续工作着。虽然如此却也同时感觉到，由于这两年远离临床、重返学生生活，才使得原先塞得满满的脑子，得以再清出一些空间来，再加上有幸获得亲身躺卧在精神分析诊疗室躺椅上的复杂滋味，因此有机会重新思考弗洛伊德的原典。于是在整理译稿时，也感觉因此得到颇大的助力。我们两个进修的地方，距离弗洛伊德死前在伦敦的最后寓所（现为弗洛伊德博物馆）都很近，每天都得和弗洛伊德铜像打招呼，在心情上，精神分析终究不再遥不可及。
翻译的思路中存在着两种相互对立的倾向：其一为应该尽己所能把文意翻译清楚，增加其可读性；其二为标准本中语意或有暧昧晦涩之处，尤其是原始手稿记录部分，中译本亦应保留此模糊性。“鼠人”的翻译就在这两种倾向交相辩证当中，“情感两歧”（ambivalently ）地前行。
“鼠人”是一个强迫症的案例，而强迫症这个名词现已成为当代台北的社会词语之一。在今日的主流精神医学界对于强迫症心智现象的支配性诠释之外，我们终于可以借由“鼠人”一窥后设心理学的论述轨迹。这样的论述绝非牢不可破的真理，实际上它留下些许破绽，轨迹也可谓错综之至，但是，它的意图却是再清楚不过的了：在表面乍看毫无意义的精神症状之中，病人和分析师尝试共同去发掘深层的心理意义，这样的意义显然又联结着“我”的主体性。如此的精神分析论述，无非想要把原本属于人心和生命的复杂度，再次还给主体，而不单单只是独尊“脑中一些化学物质失去平衡”这个生物学因素而已。
在我们愈来愈熟悉“鼠人”的过程中，这部个案史也似乎日渐成为一个容器（container），足以涵容许多我们每天遇见的心理治疗实务困境，这真是意料之外的一种感受。当病人在我们眼前激躁不安时，我们想象“鼠人”曾经在诊疗室内起身行走；当我们觉得治疗中的移情强大、难以承受时，可以想象“鼠人”分析过程中出现的移情（及反移情）也是摧枯拉朽；当我们怀疑自己是否对病人太好、背离中立（neutrality ）或禁制（abstinence ）等原则时，我们会想到当“鼠人”饿了，弗洛伊德请他吃饭；最后当我们因治疗结束、病人离去而偶有一丝失落感之际，我们不免忆起“鼠人”的分析虽然成功，虽然他也可以爱、可以工作，却在第一次世界大战中丧生，令人不胜唏嘘。以上各种百年前的临床情境交织而成这个容器。因为有了这个容器，当我们坐在治疗师的椅子上时，仿佛就觉得稍微安心一些了。
“鼠人”中译最为特别的一点，就在于德国柏林的克莉丝汀·葛斯坦费德医师给了我们最大的协助。在阅读詹姆斯·斯特雷奇所编译的英文标准版过程中，若有任何不解之处，我们就写电子邮件向她请教，克莉丝汀会仔细推敲并就该处和德文版做一比较后，再以电子邮件回复我们。这样的沟通始于2005 年7 月，直至定稿之前依然持续，已不知书信往返多少回了。此外，她又为中译本写了一篇珍贵的导读，在此我们要对克莉丝汀致以最深的谢意。当然，对于一向鼓励支持我们的家人、朋友及同事，以及所有不吝分享其生命经验的病患，我们感念在心。
