Book Abstract

东东是一个性格内向的小学生，他很自卑，常常不做作业，学习基础很差。他的爸爸是一名海员，常年不在家，照顾不了东东。东东的妈妈非常想好好地帮助他，但是缺乏好的方法。
有两次东东旷课跟同学出去玩，还骗老师说肚子疼在家养病，老师告诉东东的妈妈之后，东东妈妈非常生气，到东东的学校，还差点动手打东东，“你不好好学习，怎么还学会撒谎了！”老师阻止了东东妈妈，把她拉到办公室，帮她分析东东的情况。最后，妈妈说争取一个月不打骂孩子，东东有进步要给予肯定，并每天在他的家庭作业上签字。在以后的日子里，老师常常在东东的本子上写上鼓励的话。渐渐地，东东便朝着老师和家长希望的方向努力着，上课认真听讲，勇于发言，终于得到了妈妈的理解，也比原来开心多了。

妈妈吓了一跳，佳佳怎么突然不想上学了呢？妈妈开始后悔没有多关心佳佳在新学校的情况。妈妈问佳佳为什么，佳佳只说上学没意思。于是妈妈又到学校去问老师，老师告诉佳佳的妈妈，佳佳在学校不怎么说话，上课叫她回答问题她也不张口。看着其他孩子光鲜的衣服，想起佳佳那几身洗得快破了的衣服，妈妈大概知道为什么了。妈妈告诉老师，佳佳是一个很上进、聪明的孩子，希望老师多多帮助她。
回到家，妈妈仔细跟佳佳分析了她厌学的原因，并告诉她，她很聪明，她只要像以前一样自信认真就好了。在妈妈的开导下，佳佳慢慢想通了，又有了自信，上课认真听讲，同学需要帮助的时候就伸出友爱之手，很快，她就有了好朋友，成绩也越来越好，每天的笑容也多了起来，再也没说过不想上学的话。
到了一个新环境，我们不能一下子就适应，也有可能会出现一些其他的烦恼。但是，千万不要灰心哦，要有自信，继续努力，有了烦恼一定要告诉身边的人，大家都会帮你的。
平平在上小学，上课的时候他总是注意力不集中，听讲不到一会儿，就不自觉地东边瞧瞧、西边看看，桌面上有什么东西都想玩，一支铅笔、一块橡皮都能让他消磨掉半节课，每次上课都要老师提醒他认真听讲。尽管老师一直提醒他，可是，他还是老样子。
