第一章心血管疾病基础与临床研究
历史上危害人类生命和健康的流行病都是传染病（感染性疾病），但随着医学的进步、生活方式的改变，非传染病特别是心血管病已成为人类死亡的首要原因，并于20世纪60年代末达到了高峰，被称为“流行病学转变”。此转变不仅存在于不同疾病之间，而且亦存在于同类疾病的不同病种之间，目前世界各地已经历和正在经历的心血管病流行模式。在美国，2001年因心血管疾病致死者占所有死亡人数的35.8％（心脏疾病29％，脑血管疾病6.8％），远超过恶性肿瘤致死的比例（22.9％），在黑人中的比例更高（男性黑人为30.8％，女性为36.5％）。2000～2020年，发达国家心血管疾病的年死亡人数预计从500万增至600万；而在发展中国家该数字将从l 000万剧增至1900万。
2004年公布的我国成人营养与健康调查资料显示，我国成人高血压和血脂异常的患病率均为18.8％，即高血压与血脂异常患者均达1.6亿，其他因素肥胖者6000万，超重者2亿，糖尿病患者2 000万；吸烟情况仍然严重，加上人口老龄化的加快，这些因素导致以脑卒中和心肌梗死为主要表现的具有致残、致死严重后果的心血管疾病的发病率急剧上升，并逐渐呈年轻化趋势。
心血管疾病在世界范围内的流行趋势带来了巨大的经济与社会负担。近20年来，随着科学技术的进步，在心血管疾病的研究以及药物、介入治疗等方面取得了很大进展。但如心血管疾病的发病机制、危险因素的有效控制、支架植入后迟发性血栓以及干细胞治疗等诸多问题亟待解决。面临心血管疾病流行的严峻挑战，进一步加强心血管疾病的基础与临床研究迫在眉睫，以期望控制心血管疾病的流行、提高患者生活质量、降低心血管疾病的死亡率。本书秉承更新理念、转换模式、防治结合之宗旨，对心血管疾病近年来在基础与临床研究方面的进展进行了总结，以期对心血管疾病的研究与防治提供一定的参考。
