Book Abstract

江南水乡，钟灵毓秀，人文荟萃，名医辈出。江苏丹阳就是这样一个集江南特色为一地的城镇。丹阳中医源远流长，北宋时的慈济、神济，医术精湛，誉满天下；清乾隆、道光时的林佩琴，医界称之“持论高古，不媚俗为人”，以一部《类证治裁》传读至今；清光绪后，贺季衡承孟河医派之学术，善诊疑难杂症，定方与众不同，疗效卓著，名垂医史。张泽生先生正是贺氏亲传得意弟子之一。
张泽生，字扫尘，号树霖，1895年生于丹阳荆林上社村。斯地虽处乡邑，但受孟河医派的影响，医学亦颇为兴盛。藉此环境熏陶，其父一开始就决定了张泽生要走学医的道路。名取“泽生”者，福泽众生也，可谓寄望深远。
张泽生先生6岁入读私塾，从《四书》《五经》《史记》《古文观止》《十三经》到唐诗宋词、散文八股，砺读十年，其优秀的文学修养，为他日后学医打下了良好的基础。从16岁起，他矢志于岐黄之道，先问业于同邑名医张伯卿先生，三年后又拜清末御医、孟河马培之高足贺季衡为师，历时六载有余。在随贺先生学医期间，他白天侍诊抄方，晚上跟师出诊问业，按老师之嘱，抽空攻读医书。当他把基本中医书籍和四部经典著作学完后，即奉《张氏医通》为经典，朝夕相伴，爱不释卷，医业逐日有长进而独得先生垂青。因为天资颖悟，加以虚心好学，先生尽得贺氏薪传。
学业结束后，张泽生先生即在丹阳县城挂牌行医。他对病家审证求因，权衡用药，脉案细致，文笔清秀，所言所行颇具贺师风范。诊病不论贫富贵贱，一视同仁，遇贫病交加者常常送医赠药，故而深为患者敬重。再加上业师推荐介绍，就诊者每日多则近百，屡起沉疴，声誉卓著。时人评价他为“洞明医道，治病奇验”。
面对当时国民政府取缔中医的政策，先生坚持中医中药治疗，用疗效征服了广大患者，并曾亲赴上海，参加反对取缔中医的斗争。
