20年前，我还是肿瘤科的一名住院医师，那时针对黑色素瘤的治疗手段实在乏善可陈。面对患者们快速进展的疾病和转瞬即至的死亡，医生们错愕，却束手无策。黑色素瘤患者在我国虽然相对少见，但每年也有2万多新发病人，他们不应该属于被遗忘的人群。医者的同情和科学的精神驱策着我，踏入了这一艰难的领域。
彼时，因了解而同情；后来，因同情而专注，到如今，因专注而坚持。
时光荏苒，二十余年的医学发展，使得黑色素瘤诊治水平已不同于往日。尤其是近几年来，黑色素瘤的治疗取得了实质性的突破，新型靶向药物层出不穷，近期疗效和长期生存都获得了明显的改善。自2006年初国内首个黑色素瘤诊治中心在北京大学肿瘤医院落地生根，国内已经有多个黑色素瘤中心相继开诊，中国的黑色素瘤规范化的科学诊治与研究的春天终于到来。
