何勇，浙江大学“求是”特聘教授、博士生导师。浙江大学农业信息技术研究所所长、浙江大学数字农业与农村信息化研究中心常务副主任、农业部设施农业装备与信息化重点实验室副主任，“十二五”国家863计划现代农业技术领域“数字农业技术与装备”主题专家、863计划项目首席专家、国家教学名师、国家百千万人才、国家农村信息化示范省指导专家、第四届教育部高校优秀青年教师、浙江省首届十大师德标兵、第四届浙江省十大杰出青年、浙江省有突出贡献中青年专家、全国优秀科技工作者，享受国务院政府特殊津贴。曾先后在日本东京大学、东京农工大学、美国伊利诺伊大学访问和担任客座教授。据：ESI新统计，全球共有4615名科学家进入农业科学领域前1％的“*被引科学家”，何勇教授名列72位，按T'OP论文数排序名列19位，H指数35。
主要从事农业物联网、农村信息化、农用航空和智能农业装备等方面的科研和教学工作。主持国家863计划、国家自然科学基金、国家科技支撑计划及省部级重点科研项目50余项。发表论文400余篇，其中SCI收录300余篇。出版著作和教材20多部，获授权发明专利70多项、软件著作权登记30多项。担任EI,SEVIER出版公司SCI收录农业工程杂志Computers and Electronics in Agriculture主编，Food and Bioprocess Technology，等10多本国际学术期刊编委，《农业机械学报》、《浙江大学学报》等10多本国内学术刊物的编委。担任国际农业工程学会（CIGR）第六分会委员、亚洲精细农业联合会常务理事。担任浙江省全国农村信息化示范省建设专家组组长、浙江省永康现代农业装备创新园区专家组组长，担任国际学术会议分会场主席、学术委员会委员30余次。负责的“精细农业”课程荣获国家精品课程和国家资源公开课程。指导的2位博士研究生分别获得2012年、2013年国家百篇优秀博士论文提名。获国家科技进步奖二等奖1项，浙江省科技进步奖一等奖3项、二等奖9项，教育部科学科技进步奖一等奖1项、二等奖1项，国家教学成果奖一等奖1项，省教学成果奖一等奖1项、二等奖2项。

Introduction

物联网（internet of things，IoT）技术是20世纪末21世纪初提出并发展起来的高新技术。物联网技术在互联网的基础上，通过感知技术和智能传感仪器，实现“万物互联”。近年来，伴随着网络通信、电子、控制、制造、云计算和传感器等技术的发展，物联网技术得到了迅猛发展，其应用范围几乎涉及各行各业，已成为世界各国提升国家竞争力的重要组成部分。在我国，物联网产业作为战略性新兴产业之一得到国家的大力扶持，《中华人民共和国国民经济和社会发展第十二个五年规划纲要》、《国务院关于加快培育和发展战略性新兴产业的决定》和《物联网“十二五”发展规划》均对我国物联网产业的发展提出指导和规划。
农业是物联网技术的重点应用领域之一。当前，我国正处于传统农业向现代农业过渡阶段，物联网技术已逐步应用于农业生产的各个方面，如设施园艺、大田种植、畜禽养殖、水产养殖、农产品物流、农产品溯源等领域。农业生产中作物生长的特异性、生产过程的长期性和生产环境的复杂性决定了物联网技术在农业应用中的特殊性，因此，必须结合农业生产实际情况，研发适于我国农业发展特色的物联网技术和装备，实现农业生产信息快速实时获取、稳定高效传输、生产作业的智能决策与精准控制，对节约劳动力成本、减少水肥药等农资投入、降低环境污染、提升农产品品质和产量、促进农业生态和谐和可持续发展具有重要意义。
本书的撰写团队是国内最早开展农业物联网技术研究和应用的团队之一，常年工作在农业传感仪器和农业物联网技术研究与应用的前沿，在农业生产信息采集与过程控制、农业传感器开发、农产品品质检测和溯源等，进行了广泛的探索和研究。本书著者、团队负责人何勇教授是“十二五”国家863计划现代农业技术领域主题专家、863计划项目首席专家，长期致力于农业物联网技术和智能农业装备的研究、开发、应用和推广。本书著者主持了多项与农业物联网技术相关的国家和省部级项目，积累了丰富的研发成果和推广应用经验，多次荣获国家和省部级科技成果奖励。
