网上有很多调侃雾霾的段子，诸如“厚德载雾，自强不吸”“霾头苦干，再创灰黄”等等。大家对雾霾都是敬而远之，避之遥遥，知道它是身体健康的杀手，不过雾霾到底是个什么玩意儿，它从何而来，什么时候出现，危害有哪些，许多人就不得而知了。
其实，雾霾是雾和霾的混合物，是自然现象之一。我们赖以生存的空气虽然看似无色，但里边漂浮了许多肉眼看不见的颗粒物质及微小水滴，如果空气相对湿度较大，在80%~90%之间，也就是说水气比例占主导，则会形成轻雾。如果相对湿度较小，低于80%，而颗粒物质较多，则会形成浓郁的霾。
雾和霾的差别简单来说就在于空气是否湿润，早晚湿度大时，雾的成分多，白天湿度小，霾占据主力位置。春夏湿度大，很少出现雾霾天，秋冬季空气干燥，就会雾霾连连。
雾霾的历史可谓由来已久，人类从中得到的教训也不计其数。雾霾第一次走进人们的视野是发生在1930年的“斯河谷烟雾事件”。比利时马斯河旁的一段长约24千米的河谷，当地政府在这里规划了一个工业区，里边有3个炼油厂、3个金属冶炼厂、4个玻璃厂、3个炼锌厂和几家电力、硫酸厂、化肥厂，每天工厂烟囱的粉尘、烟雾呼呼地往外冒。同时，马斯河谷是一个狭窄的盆地，加上当时河谷上空出现了很强的逆温层，这等于给整个工业区盖上了个大锅盖，工厂排放的大量烟雾弥漫在河谷上空无法扩散，有害物质在大气层中越积越厚。
生活在工业区的人们吸入大量的有害颗粒，造成流泪、咳嗽、咽痛以及胸痛，一个星期内就陆续有60多人死亡。后来，美国的洛杉矶、多诺拉，墨西哥的波萨里卡等地方也陆续出现了雾霾天气。其中最值得一提的就是发生在雾都伦敦的“伦敦烟雾事件”。
伦敦由于地理位置和气候条件影响，本身就是多雾的城市，它有个广为人知的外号叫“雾都”。上个世纪50年代是英国工业高速发展时期，伦敦市区内工厂林立，烟雾弥漫，由于当时天气异常，一连数日都不见有风，导致飘浮在城市上空的有害颗粒经久不散，整个城市笼罩在黑压压的雾霾中。化工业产生的硫酸、硝酸、有机碳氢化合物等物质依附在微小颗粒中被人体吸入肺部，直接导致疾病暴发。仅仅4天时间，死亡的人数就高达4000多人，两个月后又有8000多人陆续丧生。伦敦医院由于呼吸道疾病患者剧增而一度暴满，伦敦城内到处都可以听到咳嗽声。
这次烟雾事件给伦敦造成的危害是巨大的，同时也给以工业为主的西方国家上了生动的一课，提醒人们空气污染问题是关系到生命健康的头等问题。此后，伦敦清洁空气法案出台，并通过推动家庭取暖转向天然气，从大城市迁出火电厂等多种环境治理措施，最终使有毒烟雾从伦敦销声匿迹。
这几年我国各地因为重经济，求发展，环境破坏越来越严重。2013年北京PM25指数严重超标，甚至暴表，一时间“京城”变成了“京尘”，空气污染指数高出世界卫生组织所规定的标准值168倍之多，人们外出都要戴口罩。紧接着，雾霾天气席卷25个省份的百余座大中城市，从东北到西北，从华北到中部，导致黄淮、江南地区都出现了大范围的重度和严重污染，覆盖了中国将近一半的土地，让中国人民彻底记住了雾霾！
雾霾之所以危害严重，就是因为空气污染后，微粒中依附的有硫酸盐、硝酸盐、有机气溶胶粒子等有害物质，这些物质被我们吸入呼吸道后，会沉淀在肺脏中，破坏我们的呼吸系统，还会让我们血压升高，阻碍正常的血液循环，诱发心血管病、高血压、冠心病、脑出血等疾病。
从雾霾发展的历史来看，雾霾其实是我们人类一手造就的恶魔。大家可以看看雾霾成分的来源，主要是汽车排放的尾气、公路扬尘和建筑施工扬尘、工厂制造的废气、冬季取暖时燃烧的煤炭废气、农业生产时焚烧秸秆的烟尘等等，这些哪一样不是出自我们自己之手？是我们对经济发展的一味追求把原本洁白纯净的“小绵羊”变成了人见人怕的“大灰狼”。
所以，防治雾霾我们人人都有责任和义务，在糟糕的空气面前，每个人都是平等的。同时环境污染的治理是百年之计的大工程，还有很长的路要走，很多工作要做。面对雾霾我们自己首先要做好防备，不能出师未捷身先死，先把身体搞坏了，这就是我写这本书的目的，认识雾霾，然后再科学地应对它。
防霾苏醒香囊
使用方法
取佩兰12克、川芎15克、藁本10克、生蔓荆子10克、冰片2克，除冰片外先将各药烘干，研为细末，随后加入冰片调均匀，最后装入布袋，佩戴在胸前，在头晕嗜睡时拿起来闻一闻。顿感药香扑鼻，提神醒脑。
使用范围
对因雾霾以及各种原因引起的头脑昏沉、视物模糊、头痛均有效果。
功效解析
中医认为，头面部为“诸阳之会”，一身气血均需汇入头部人才能健康、清醒。而“风、寒、暑、湿、燥、火”六种邪气上扰头目均会引起头痛、昏沉、眼花、注意力不集中、记忆力减退。雾霾在中医属于邪气，当人体阳气受到侵害时就会让我们悄然得病，比如头晕头痛症。而芳香气味的中药有化湿辟浊的效果，古代房屋都是木制房屋，湿气大，所以古人都有熏香的习惯。现代人住上了高楼大厦，屋子里倒是不会有湿邪了，但却遭遇了雾霾的困扰，空气中到处都是黏滞污浊的邪气，让人身体不适，这个时候大家可以借鉴下古人的智慧，运用芳香的药物来除湿祛邪。本方中佩兰别名“省头草”，是古代常用的香料，具有芳香化湿、醒脾开胃、发表解暑的功效，对各种头晕症都有疗效，尤其在雾霾天使用最为恰当。如果湿邪困脾，口中甜腻、多涎、口臭，单用佩兰煎煮就可以解决。川芎活血化瘀，能缓解头痛。藁本祛风，散寒，除湿，止痛，常治疗风寒感冒，巅顶头痛。生蔓荆子能疏散风热，清利头目。冰片又名龙脑香，也被誉为“龙涎香”，意思是从龙的嘴里流出来的唾液凝聚而成，可治百病。而冰片药用确实有很多功效，古代医家说：“冰片，开窍辟邪之药也，性善走窜，启发壅闭，开达诸窍，无往不通，然芳香之气能辟一切邪恶，辛烈之性能散一切风热。”诸药合用，上行高巅，对各种原因尤其是雾霾引发的头晕昏沉、思维呆钝、视物昏花均有显效。
