什麼是布花

つまみ細工，中文通常譯成和風布花、日式布花、日式花簪等等，源於主要材料即是布料所製成。用正方形的布片捏摺成花瓣，模擬自然，搭配組合成各式各樣的花鳥蟲魚，放在髮上作為裝飾。

大約在日本的江戶時代（17～19世紀）初期開始興起，結束一百多年的戰亂後，這個時期的經濟逐漸穩定，生活水準提高的人們開始有錢有閒，各種工藝逐漸復甦與興盛。

細工花簪是舞妓頭上主要的髮飾，依照季節與年資搭配各種花卉的髮簪。

現代除了常見於七五三、成人式、新年、婚禮等穿著和服的正式場合以外，和洋混合的風格也催生出各種日常可以使用的配飾與周邊。
