Book Abstract

2013年10月，惊喜席卷了熊本县厅。

来熊本县访问的天皇陛下与皇后陛下亲临熊本县厅，还参观了在县厅的大堂举办的“酷MA萌展”。我们用丰富多彩的照片展板和周边产品介绍了酷MA萌的丰功伟绩。陛下夫妇饶有兴致地观赏了展品。

不仅如此—酷MA萌还在陛下面前表演了“酷MA萌体操”！

我就站在陛下旁边看着酷MA萌，着实为它捏了一把汗。好在酷MA萌干劲十足，时而蹦蹦跳跳，时而挥动四肢，每个动作都特别到位，在关键场合一点儿都没有掉链子。真不愧是我们熊本的骄傲！

表演结束后，酷MA萌告诉我说：“我从没那么紧张过萌！”看来它的压力也不小呢。

听说陛下夫妇一直很期待能与酷MA萌见面。

表演结束后还有一段小插曲呢。皇后陛下问道：“酷MA萌是只由一个人扮演的吗？”慌得酷MA萌不知所措。

那日的光景，让我感慨万千。

细细想来，我跟酷MA萌已经打了四年多的交道了。

2010年2月，我在新干线元年委员长的报告会上第一次见到了酷MA萌。“新干线元年委员会”是与2011年3月12日开通的九州新干线同步成立的组织，旨在集广大民众之力，打造富有特色的铁路沿线文化。

为了制定出更行之有效的战略，我们特意请到了剧作家小山薰堂先生担任“新干线元年事业顾问”。小山先生的老家就在熊本县的天草地区，听说自己能为故乡出一份力，他二话没说，一口答应下来。

小山先生提出的宣传语是“熊本惊喜”。

这四个字背后的含义是，由熊本县民去发现日常生活中的“惊喜”，并向全国各地的人们宣传熊本县的魅力。要是熊本人都不爱熊本，其他人就更不可能喜欢上熊本了。所以熊本县民要带头挖掘家乡的魅力，热爱熊本，享受熊本—听完小山先生的解释，我和县厅的职员们都激动极了。我心想：“这就是我们想要的！”
